When we visited the site, we finally understood why.
There was some major construction work near their landed home. While it is not known exactly what the cause was, this homeowner and his neighbours realised that cracks started appearing in their gardens.
Large cracks appeared in the sidewalk and garden, resulting in uneven flooring that led to pest infestation. We’re talking about rats and cockroaches, pests that could cause havoc to hygiene and health issues and are frankly unwelcome in any household.
Other than harbouring a myriad of unwanted guests, the uneven flooring also caused inconvenience and made it really unsafe for the old folks to move around, especially at night.
We immediately got to helping the homeowner regain their sanity.
We hacked the floor and levelled the ground. The original layout consists of a small area with stone tiles and another with grass, which made the place look smaller. Instead, we suggested a continuing stretch of artificial turf inlaid with the stone tiles salvaged from the existing flooring.
That is in line with our company ethos of helping customers recycle wherever possible in order to save costs and be kind to Mother Earth.
The entire stretch of turf helped to make the outdoor space of this landed home look more spacious and made it safer for the children to run around. The old folks also do not have to worry about uneven flooring and steps that could cause them to trip.
While at it, we also repaired and refurbished the wooden fence. Doesn’t it look as good as new?
